Not impressed. I think the graphics are great but the gameplay is clunky and dated. Movement and turning is slow and the combat unsatisfying.
Resi fans will like it but it seems like Capcom haven't really moved on with this. I really wanted to like it and it has a lot to like but i just don't think it cuts it, graphics aside.

Comparing any book to a game is stupid. There different mediums. I should imagine the guy meant they were aiming for the detail and tone of the LOTR's movies but with a darker edge. Not saying they were going to make a LOTR's type movie.

True. I love lord of the rings but i wouldn't say the story is amazing. Frodo gets ring, crosses morder, throws it in mountain. Its a simple genric hero story told countless times in films like star wars, merlin, and others. But the movies were well made.
As for gears i would just like it to be gritty,adult, and badass.
The ps3 is selling fine but i fail to see why people don't except the fact its third place at the minute. wii is first, xbox second. Thats a fact. Its like people have shares in them or something.

Well i like Uncharted a lot but thought Underworld had much better level design and puzzles. Uncharted was more about the combat. Looking forward to the DLC.
Ps3 and xbox still not doing much. Japan doesn't seem to want this gen that much. Its all wii and ds.

Best game ive played so far this gen for me is Mass Effect and ive played a lot. MGS, Uncharted, Gears,Halo3,Farcry, the list goes on and on. Ive played just about everything on both systems and Mass Effect is my favorite. Will it come to Ps3... no chance.
The character of Uncharted will never be as big as Lara because he doesn't have boobs. unfortunately that counts for a lot.
Also Lara appeared at the right time. The first Tombraider sold nearly ten million copies, Uncharted sold 2million.
